GHIANT Lexan Spray Fluo Blue Nr 1014 150ml

Ready-to-use, quick-drying, and fuel-resistant Lexan spray paint in fluorescent blue specially developed for painting polycarbonate RC car bodies. The solvent etches the surface to create a permanent bond, yielding a lightweight finish that can save up to 15g on a 1/10 scale race body compared to pre-painted or water-based alternatives. For the desired fluorescent effect, the paint should be applied in very light coats at temperatures above 15°C from a distance of approximately 15 to 20 cm, and then backed with white RC Car Colour. Delivered in a 150ml spray can.

Ghiant RC Car Colours Fluo Blue is a ready-to-use, quick-drying, lightweight, fuel-resistant spray paint for racing, developed for polycarbonate RC car bodies. Its solvent etches the surface so the paint bonds permanently with the polycarbonate. Compared with pre-painted or water-based coloured bodies, the paint can reduce the weight of a 1/10 scale race body by up to 15 g, lowering its centre of gravity.

In the box

Before painting, remove dirt particles, cut out the body and sand the cut edges. Mask areas that are not to be painted with masking film or tape; make sure surfaces are dry and free of dust.

Many bodies have a transparent protective foil on the outside. Do not remove it until the paint has dried.

Paint dark colours before light colours to prevent the dark colours from showing through.

Shake the can vigorously for approx. 2 min. before use, until the mixing ball rattles. Spray from approx. 20–30 cm using even cross movements.

Covering capacity varies slightly by colour. Apply light coats to avoid bleeding; the final result takes 2–3 coats. Wait approx. 5 min. between coats. Never spray just one heavy coat! Let the paint dry for 5 min. before removing the masking film and applying the next coat.

After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 s until the nozzle is empty.

Fluorescent colours appear not to cover as well as normal colours. Apply only very light coats at temperatures above 15 °C, spraying from a distance of +/-15/20 cm.

Let the colour dry for 30 min., then back it with white RC Car Colour to obtain the fluorescent effect.

RC Car Colours Fluo Blue is a paint for Lexan car bodies. The solvent dissolves the body surface so that the paint bonds permanently with the plastic. The paint remains elastic, even in a strong crash, and does not chip or scratch.

• Notes

Many bodies have a protective foil on the outside; remove it only after painting. Some prefer to cut out the body beforehand.

Clean the body thoroughly with dish soap or brake cleaner and shake the can vigorously for about 2 min.

Spray the paint from a distance of 20–30 cm. When using multiple colours, start with the darkest, as dark colours can otherwise show through the light ones.

Apply several thin coats instead of one thick coat and wait about 5 min between sprays.

Wait at least 5 min before removing the protective film or masking film of the design.

After use, turn the can upside down and spray for about 2 s to empty the nozzle.

Fluo/neon colour covers less than standard colours: apply several fine coats from a distance of 15–20 cm; the ambient temperature should be at least 15 °C.

Wait about 30 min and back the fluo/neon colour with white; only then is optimal luminosity achieved.
