How to fully appreciate the advantages of zinc-air technology?

After removing the protective sticker, wait at least about 2 minutes before the battery is activated in the device. This time is needed for oxygen to penetrate the battery structure - only then the battery activates and reaches the appropriate voltage for operation. During battery use, also ensure that the battery compartment has the possibility of further air penetration.

Batteries will last longer if they come from fresh production (long shelf life) and are stored in a dry and cool place (avoid storing batteries in hot places and cold ones, e.g. in the fridge - this reduces their service life). Additionally, remember to turn off the hearing aid at night and when it is to be unused for a long time. It is also recommended to leave the battery compartment in the hearing aid open at night - this prevents moisture from settling in it, which adversely affects the batteries.

• Avoid: using batteries other than zinc-air (alkaline batteries are much weaker and may leak). Avoid keeping discharged batteries in the hearing aid or mixing batteries of different brands or new batteries with old ones - always replace the whole set. Also, do not keep batteries loose together with metal objects.
• What shortens battery life: higher amplification level in the hearing aid, enabling additional functions, being in noise, long phone conversations (at the ear), high air humidity, high or low temperatures, air pollution.
